With all the hullabaloo and hoopla over portable mp3 and music players, it seems as though almost every manufacturer is finding a way to join the digital music movement. Speaker manufacturer Altec Lansing has an innovative little product that can make the public performance of your tunes much easier than simply turning up the volume on your headphones. The inMotion line of portable audio products makes the possibility of hearing your audio while on the road a reality.

For the iPod Mini - $129.95

From Altec Lansing: 'Put away your headphones and turn your small player into a Sound System that everyone can enjoy! CD, MP3, portable DVD player, or your notebook computer... it’s as simple as plug and play!'

For the iPod - $179.95
Running off of either AC or battery power, the inMotion speakers fold up to the size of a small paperback and include their own carrying case.  The two speaker sets that we looked at were made with Apple's iPod and iPod Mini in mind (which happen to double as a charging dock), but will also work with any portable player featuring a line or headphone out.  GPF's Ivan Baird plugged in the inMotion iM3 and iMmini from Altec Lansing and you can hear his findings through your speakers by clicking the audio link above.
