Breed is a little known game, yet when you hear of it, it sounds somewhat familiar. This first-person-shooter (FPS) places you, a G.R.U.N.T., a Genetically Revived Universal Tactical Sentient, to battle an onslaught of robots, called the Breed. The look of the game reminds almost anyone of Bungie's Halo, but it's smoother and looks just about as nice, if not better. The gameplay is quite different - with vehicles that combine Halo's coolness with Unreal Tournament 2004's fun, but it includes buildings that are destroyable along with weapons that do some mega damage and look better. Only the AI (artifical intelligence) is the flaw. Your teammates, who you can control, have the habit of falling off ledges trying to catch up to you when left to their own devices.
Little known Brat Designs teamed up with publisher CDV to bring this great game to your home. Highly reminiscent of Halo graphics wise, this game delivers hours of fun, regardless of how much the AI is lacking. Click above to hear GPF's Alex Stevenson elaborate on this game.
