nVidia's consumer line of video cards have made a word for them and put them in top running for affordable video cards. Now nVidia has expanded to target people who do hardcore 3D drafting and design. With outrageous features such as 16X antialiasing, quad-pipelines, 12-bit Subpixel Precision, High-Performance Display Outputs, complete with all four pipelines capable of running at 128 bit... this card is devinitely not for your average computer.

Made specifically for those in need of serious rendering power (ala' Toy Story), the Quadro FX 1000 is quite speedy in this regard, in fact, it is several times faster than the fastest consumer-grade card in this arena. The true speed of this card is unmatched except by its larger siblings, and it even rivals the results that hundreds of thousands of dollars net you by using a professional computer workstation solution. Not for the average joe, but definitely for the 3D graphical artists in the world, GPF's resident animator Timothy Albee gives us an in-depth look at this professional powerhouse.
